Think into the future about Mae Mobley. What do you think she will have to say about her childhood?


       In  the  future  Mae Mobley  will  most  probably  resent  her  mother  and  yet  she  will  most  surely  cherish  all  the  time  and  care  Aibileen  bestowed  upon  her  on  a  daily  basis.  The  rejection  of  her  mother  and  the  way  she  would  wait  for  Aibileen  to  arrive  to  get  the  attention  her  paternal  mother  could  not  find  a  way  to  show  the  affection  that  every  child  deserves.
